Subterranean termites can leave subtle signs of their presence, including mud tubes on foundations or along walls, as well as mounds or piles of frass (termite droppings). Examine wood surfaces for damage or tunneling, or discard wings near windows or doors. Indirect indicators can include excessive moisture, abundant wood sources near the structure, or specific soil conditions conducive to termite activity.
